About Insulation and Heat Shielding Materials: 'Reflectix'
Reflective insulation made of aluminum foil with 99% reflectivity! Effective against summer heat and winter cold!
Insulation materials such as glass wool and urethane are not materials that cut off heat, but rather heat storage materials that accumulate heat. They are also materials that delay heat conduction, acting as heat propagation retardants. Therefore, they are materials that absorb heat when exposed to electromagnetic waves (radiant heat) such as ultraviolet and infrared rays. In winter, they store heat (heat transfer occurs), but in summer, they can have the opposite effect. The most common form of heat transfer is not conduction, but rather radiation, which accounts for about 70% of heat movement. Insulation materials directly absorb and store this radiant heat (electromagnetic waves). Since buildings have been constructed with insulation materials, the cost of electricity for cooling heat has become extremely high. Because insulation materials store heat, the only way to improve this situation is to use genuine heat shielding materials. Even heat shielding materials with a low reflectivity of around 60%, such as aluminum vapor-deposited products (be cautious of fakes), cannot effectively repel radiant heat. In contrast, aluminum foil with a reflectivity of 99%, such as 'Reflectix', is an ideal product for blocking heat. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
